Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a painful chronic condition in which the lining of the small intestine becomes severely inflamed in response to certain foods.
It can result in a number of problems, including perpetually decreased appetite or waxing and waning “finicky” eating behavior, chronic vomiting or diarrhea, poor absorption of nutrients, weight loss, protein loss, and ongoing debilitation.
